ApeBrød or 'Monkey Bread' is believed to be of Hungarian origin. Ours is made from pieces of laminated croissant dough, rolled in sugar and then baked to develop a golden caramel coating. It is dipped in a maple buttermilk glaze and finished with pecan pieces.
